🚀 Getting Started​

1. Create Your Account​

Visit uptime.culiops.net and choose your login method:

Google OAuth​

  1. Click "Login with Google"
  2. Select your Google account
  3. Authorize CuliUptime access
  4. You're ready to go!

GitHub OAuth​

  1. Click "Login with GitHub"
  2. Authorize the CuliUptime application
  3. Complete the OAuth flow
  4. Start monitoring immediately

2. Navigate the Dashboard​

After logging in, you'll see:

  • Monitor Overview - All your monitors at a glance
  • Recent Alerts - Latest notifications and events
  • Quick Actions - Add monitors, view analytics
  • Account Settings - Manage preferences and notifications

📊 Creating Your First Monitor​

Basic HTTP/HTTPS Monitor​

  1. Click the "+ Add Monitor" button
  2. Fill out the monitor form:
Monitor Name: My Website
URL: https://example.com
Protocol: HTTPS
Method: GET
Check Interval: 5 minutes
Timeout: 30 seconds

  1. Advanced Options (optional):

    • Expected HTTP status codes (default: 2xx)
    • Custom request headers
    • Basic authentication
    • SSL certificate verification
    • Content matching patterns

  2. Click "Create Monitor"

Current Release: CuliUptime v0.1.0 MVP supports HTTP/HTTPS monitoring only. Additional monitor types are actively under development!

🔔 Alert Configuration​

Email Notifications​

All accounts get instant email alerts by default:

  • Downtime Alert - When a service goes offline
  • Recovery Alert - When a service comes back online
  • Maintenance Mode - Pause alerts during maintenance

Alert Settings​

Customize your notification preferences:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications

  2. Choose alert types:

    • ✅ Downtime notifications
    • ✅ Recovery notifications
    • ✅ Weekly uptime reports
    • ⏳ Scheduled maintenance (coming soon)

  3. Set notification frequency:

    • Immediate - Instant alerts (recommended)
    • 5 minutes - Reduce noise for flaky services
    • 15 minutes - For non-critical monitors

  • Appropriate Intervals - Don't over-monitor (5min is usually fine)
  • Meaningful Names - Use descriptive monitor names
